Our facilities were designed to mirror commercial production, not just a lab environment.
- For swine nursery and finisher research, we use pigs from our commercial pork production partners.
- In our broiler research facilities, chicks are sourced from commercial hatcheries with breed strain combinations commonly used in commercial broiler production.
- Our facilities are designed to be as commercially applicable as possible from an equipment, ventilation and design standpoint, while still allowing for the control and ability to precisely collect data.

What’s Next
Our commitment to research is always growing. We look to successfully launch an egg layer research program to better serve our partners and meet the evolving demands of modern animal production. Our intention is to build both caged and cage-free research facilities for conducting real-world, practically applicable nutrition studies that can be applied to varying nutrition programs.
On the broiler research side, we plan to keep expanding our health challenge models to closely mirror the real-world issues our customers face in production. Additionally, we’re committed to strengthening our testing capabilities through our partnership with Veritas Agrilabs, including studies in nutrient digestibility and intestinal morphology.
